Mikhail Popkov has been carrying out his crimes for two decades, in a series of assassinations that are the worst in the history of Russia, making him the world's most famous assassin. In March 2017 , Popkov, 53, was formally charged with committing 60 crimes , and he have already been convicted of 22 offenses, and is currently serving a life sentence. The man was a former policeman and has been admitted that his motive for these crimes was to "clean up" the city of Anjarsk in Siberia from "prostitutes" and "immoral women," as he called them.
